Miss princess, that's what Mom keeps calling me when I wear this silly thing she sticks on me after a bath......Do I look like one? I look a little cold if you ask me! Baths are becoming common in our daily routine. Mom says I have a similac necklace when I eat, so she sticks me in the bath, or should I say sink! I REALLY like what comes out of the faucet, I was licking it like kidie and Claire do when they are near their water bowl. Maybe mommy can give me some in a bottle? Hmm.....

Hi! Lots to share since I last wrote! Nanna and Grandpa came to visit again! I was very happy to see them. Nanna held me a lot, and it was really nice to hear Grandpa's voice each day!

     Here is a photo Dad took a couple days ago, as you can see, Mom STILL is feeding me, I am almost up to 10 pounds! They took me to the doctors the other day and the nurse said I was 9 lbs 10oz! You can see it in my face mostly or my big round belly.

Hmm......lots to say, little time before Mom or Dad sticks another bottle in my mouth......

That picture I sent yesterday was from my new toy Dad put together for me. Mommy calls it the "shaker seat" Dad likes it 'cause I make funny faces when I am in it! Here is a picture of me and big sister Claire. She thought there was room in the seat for both of us, Dad thought different.

Hello!  I have a lot of stories to share, but very little time to write. See....I have this schedule that Mom and Dad are putting me through......sleep, get up, make noise (so they can hear me), for some reason they think I need my diaper changed every time I do this, eat, burp (some times), then back to bed! Day in and day out, I really like it! But today.....we had not one friend, but 5 friends come over! All girls, like me, they all hung out with Mom, they are all really cool, I don't quite remember all their names, I know Auntie Mandy was here, I remember her from the hospital, she is so sweet to me. Mom didn't take pictures either so I cannot share, all I know is that Mom was tickled pink with all the company she received today! Oh...by the way, this was my outfit for the day, yes, I too was a bit crabby

     Just a side note. Mom put this shiny thing in my bassinet earlier this week. I found it FASCINATING! I could not stop looking at the pretty little baby in the mirror, she looked like me, but I cannot see how I got myself in that little thing!

Hi! Its been a couple a days, I had to take some time off. Too much stress with the new house, new digs, and all the new things to see. I think I am getting back to normal, life is tough for a little one like me. Mom and Dad were very excited to get out of the hospital on Wednesday, last week.

Mom and I got a little tired the first few hours we were home, so we both took a nap. A good long one too! 

I've had lots of visits from family and friends. Grandpa and Nana came over to the house on Wednesday with Auntie Heidi and my cousins Max and Owen! They stayed for dinner, I think I smelled pizza, from what I hear, that is one of Moms favorite things to eat! I heard its Uncle Matt's too! I should look into this "pizza" maybe Dad could stick it in the blender for me in a couple of months from now.

Owen and Max came over again this Thursday too! They came to say good bye with everyone else. I guess they had to go back to Rhode Island. Dad says we will be taking the trip down to Rhode Island very soon, so I should look forward to meeting the rest of my family at something called a family reunion? Sounds kind of fun? Will there be pizza? Hope so, as long as there is lots of people to come meet me. That's it for now, feeling sleepy again. Time for a nap!

Hello! Wow, what a day! Nana and Grandpa made it from Rhode Island to visit me! From what I hear, its a LONG drive from their house to the hospital that we are staying in. First.....Dad and I had to get some rest, Dad has been staying up late to take care of me while Mommy sleeps, so we both thought it would be a good time to catch up on some shut eye this afternoon.

     Mom and I also had some good bonding time before they got here. I heard Dad talking to Mom about when my grandparents were going to show up, it sounded like after dinner, so we just hung out for a little bit!

Bath day

     Hi! Today was a weird day, some lady took Dad, Mom, and I to the place where I sleep sometimes in the wee hours of the morning. They put me under this BIG grow light and stripped me down to my diaper! I started to get relaxed, but all of the sudden, Brenda the nurse stuck me under the sink! EAK! I cried and cried, Dad took some pictures, Mom kept telling me "its for your own good Marit!" I could NOT think how this cold water running down my little itty bitty head could have anything good come out of it. Nurse Brenda took me back to the big oven and proceeded to rub my skin with soap and a gauze pad, the skin all over my body had bubbles everywhere! Again, I wasn't very happy with this process as well. In the end, I could here both parents thanking Nurse Brenda for teaching them how to "bath" me? More like, make me mad as I have ever been! Day 2!

Big visiting day today! Grandma and Aunt Janet came to see me before lunch this morning. Grandma filled in Dad all what was going on back at our house (that I have yet to see) and Aunt Janet got me to open up my eyes....why? For some reason, I have this habit of sleeping during the day and staying up most of the night! Aunt Janet woke me up by unwrapping my swaddle and exposing my little tiny legs to the outside air....it worked! My eyes stirred, I cried for a bit, and I got to see both of them! 

     Next up was Auntie Sarah, she came just after Grandma and Aunt Janet left. She was so excited to meet me and especially to catch up with Mom. She got to hold me, I asked Dad to take a picture of the 2 of us so Mom can scrap book all my visits. See.....that's what Mom and Sarah do often, they like to have a "crafter noon" where they do all kind of creative stuff that I have yet to learn about. I'm thinking I can watch sooner than later over at Sarah's house and maybe even visit Sarah's girl Paris!

Dad said I have some catching up to do with my story, so I thought I would write a little this morning before everyone got up and running with their day.

After the big move out of mom's belly, mom, dad, and I went back to the birthing room. Here is a picture of Mom and I snuggling together.

     About an hour later, Nurse Danielle said it was time for all of us to go, she wanted to put us down in the maternity unit on floor 5 in the Smythe building. She packed us all up, wheeled us to our new room,  set Mom up with some good pain killers, and off to bed we went! Mind you this was 3am, everyone (including me) was a bit tired, but Dad was able to take some photos of us snuggling again. 

The beginning

Hi All!

Welcome to my blog! My name is Marit, I plan to write daily to share with you all my adventures. I think I will start with Mom's belly and getting me out of it.

Mom woke dad up early Saturday morning telling him that her water broke! Mom called doctor Amy at the hospital and she said to come in when she was ready, no big rush, just to get there sooner than later. Mom wasn't feeling me push inside of her yet so she and dad went along their business while I started my packing of getting out of mom's womb. Mom and dad finally got to the hospital around 10:30am Friday, they met the nicest lady, nurse Karen. Karen took mommy through all the steps she would have to take to get me out of her belly. Time went by, mom got really grouchy (at least that's what it sounded like on the inside) and she pushed and pushed but I had some problems with the umbilical cord being too short! Doctor Amy was getting very worried about my heart beat going way down, so far down that she wanted to take me out sooner than mommy could get me out herself! The next thing I know Mom, Dad, me, and Doctor Amy oh yah- and a pile of nurses and other doctors filled the operating room. Some time went by, I felt Doctor Amy calling for me, and the next thing I knew she grabbed me by the head and I was out for my first visit with the world! I came out of Moms belly at 1:05am, at 7 pounds 8 ounces and about 20 inches long!
