Opening day!

Daddy said he was going to pick me up early so we could come home and play hooky from school and work! Something about the Red Sox playing their first game today! Wha-HOO! Its been a long time since we got to hang out in front of the tv to watch baseball. I was barely 5 months old the last time I saw Dustin Pedroia, BIG Poppi, and the rest of the team win the world series in Fenway park! How do I look in my sox hat? Go SOX!

Eatin' & Movin'!

It is official!  I ate one….full…pouch of carrots and apple!  I kept hearing mom and dad talk about "ugh..we waste so much baby food blah blah blah".  It's true, I am a pretty picky eater.  They really nailed it with these carrot blend pouches though, and in 2 days, I ate it ALL!

I'm aiming for strawberry blonde like my Aunt Sarah.

Also, I have been moving more and more.  I am a great sitter-upper; I can lean, reach, bend and stay stable without falling over, but a baby can only reach so far with her butt on the ground.  I'm taking risks, lifting up, bending my knees and launching forward!  Most times I fly onto my belly or do a spectacular face-plant, but it's coming!  I'm also wanting to pull myself up onto strong legs more and more…I have big plans for the months to come…you wait and see!

I never want the toys I can reach…only the ones far away!  Bring on the challenge!

Life is still wicked exciting!  I hear that it is spring already, soon I won't need to bundle in hats and warm clothes anymore!  We still go outside a lot in the woods.  Wooh, exhausting!

Playing with baby

Good morning! Sitting here with baby this morning, I wanted to mention, I've been saying "dada" a lot lately, my new word is "caca". When mommy or daddy shows me kitty and Claire, I kinda say "ca" when I see them! Back to playing with baby!

HAPPY ST. PATRICKS DAY!

Hello all! I just wanted to wish everyone a happy st paddy's day. Lots of green Mommy picked out for me this morning. I'm feeling quite lucky today, most days too! Have a great day everyone!

8 Months old!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, life is BUSY! I turned 8 months old! Let's see, what new things have I been up to….
1.  growing 4 new teeth on the top (watch out food….here I come!)
2.  making more happy sounds, like "ba ba ba" (mom keeps track, I guess she's into this speech stuff)
3.  moving a little more…flopping forward, sleep on my belly at night, scooting backwards on my belly
3. starting swimming lessons!

Plain and simple, life is good.

As you can see, my 8 month outfit didn't fit me, no matter how much mommy stretched it! It did fit over my head though.

Swimming is AWESOME! Im in class with a couple friends that I know, and my teacher is really fun and nice.

 First we get in the pool and explore the water with toys (e.g., I explore, and mom talks to her friends)

Then we move!  I get to pop up and down in the water, splash around, and even "jump" off the side while mom catches me!  If the next 5 classes are as fun as this one, I should be swimming in NO time!
